The division of a tract or parcel of land into two (2) or more lots and/or blocks for the purpose of establishing units of ownership of land. A subdivision may also include the establishment of new streets. A subdivision shall only be established by platting or replatting pursuant to applicable ordinances of the City relating thereto and the subdivision shall become officially established by means of a recorded plat.
